Kingsway

Today I was pleasantly surprised to find out that Kingsway, a game that I've been thinking about getting for a while, is on sale on Steam. It's a rougelike where you have to travel a kingdom in which everything is represented by a Windows 95 user interface. The world is in a window. Your stats are in a window. Your inventory is in a window. Enemies are in a window, and they move around the screen on their own, so you have to chase them down to click the attack button. Traps like arrows and lit bombs are windows that fly across the screen and you have to quickly click a button to avoid them before they hit you. Magicians have a move called "disappear" which minimises the combat window, so you have to bring it up from the taskbar before they can attack you. The aim of the game is to travel eastwards, and the difficulty steadily ramps up the further east you go. It works perfectly in Proton. I like Kingsway.

I've been having issues with LavaPlayer not working sometimes on certain videos and I'm not really sure what to do about it, apart from getting all my stream URLs through Invidious instead. Which is possible. I could do that.

I put my washing away. Now I just have to do the readings and I'll be caught up on stuff that I've been putting off.

There are now 53 cases of Covid-19 in New Zealand. I highly expect that in two weeks time I'll be attending class completely from home. I am very afraid that this will kill my motivation.

My name change form has successfully exited the postal system.

Due to a combination of it raining and things being cancelled, I didn't leave the house today. Hopefully it'll be dry and I can go for a nice walk tomorrow.
